Situated in a little valley with open grass spaces and quiet shaded picnic spots, this is tranquility itself. There is a short 450m walk in the forest under giant tree ferns, across small trickling streams and past moss meadows that invite you to lie down and experience the tranquility . The forest walk tends to be quite moist so be careful on the slippery roots and logs. Another option is to walk up to Spitskop nearby, there is a gravel road leading up across the main road from the picnic site. You can also drive up if your vehicle has sufficient clearance.

Directions: From Knysna take the N2 towards Plettenberg Bay. About 4km from Knysna take the R339 Uniondale turnoff to the left and follow this road for 25.2km and you'll see a turnoff and the picnic site on your right, beneath the road.
